Description:

Overview of humanitarian demining methods. Landmine detection methods: detection of metal content, electrical, thermal and acoustic properties, vapor and bulk explosive detection. Digital signal processing, requirements of various detection methods. Feature extraction algorithms. Classification and recognition. Statistical methods, fuzzy classification, neural networks. Classifier evaluation. Sensor fusion. Learning and self-adjustment. Mobile robotic platforms. Control and navigation.
