All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:

Architecture of industrial power system configurations, voltage levels, system components,
transformer, generator, motors, power converters, filters, compensation and switching
devices. Mathematical models of components and the system, with single electrical machine
and with multiple machines. Autonomous operation of an industrial power system and the
operation with parallel connection to the utility. System dynamics in acceleration,
corrections and speed reversion using direct switching or via power converter of a drive with
a single motor or with multiple motors. Harmonic analysis and characteristic of filters.
Systems for compensation of reactive power, performance in steady state and during
transients. Fault conditions, transients and stability of a power supply. Interaction between
electromagnetic system and the system of electromagnetic power supply of an industrial
drive at sudden changes of load, faults, working stability analyses. Overvoltages in industrial
systems at switching, disconnections due to.
