Vertical and horizontal communication network architectures. Concepts and standards in open network architecture. Network architecture layers: access, transport, control, application and service. Software network architecture, access and core functionality, middleware roles. Telecommunication systems diversity and creation of framework for unified application. Transformation from architecture to implementation. Technology and business criteria for network architecture analysis.
