All teaching activities will be held in Croatian. However, foreign students in mixed groups will have the opportunity to attend additional office hours with the lecturer and teaching assistants in English to help master the course materials. Additionally, the lecturer will refer foreign students to the corresponding literature in English, as well as give them the possibility of taking the associated exams in English.

Description:

Basic terms connected with distribution of sound in space. Reference schematics of sound
reinforcement system. Characteristics of audio signal sources, its spectrums, levels and
dynamics. Active components of sound reinforcement system. Devices for frequency,
dynamic and time processing of audio signal. Devices for mixing, connecting and
distribution. Power audio amplifiers. Loudspeaker units, boxes and arrays. Equation of sound
reinforcement system with use of parameters of real sources and sound emitters. Calculation
of necessary and possible amplification in a system. Determination of parameters of
acoustical quality. Topology of sound reinforcement system. Comparison of individual
systems. Digitally controlled sound reinforcement systems. Designing of sound
reinforcement with computer.
