World Wide Web, evolution, trends, and standards. Web content: format, languages, content management. Semantics, meta-data, search and cataloguing. Software components: client, server, proxy, cache. Networking: architectures, protocols, security. Traffic characterization and server workload. User interface: usability, accessibility, personalization. Applications: multimedia streaming, content distribution, e-business.
