Antennas and propagation include the following: antennas, including analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing; radiation, propagation, and the interaction of electromagnetic waves with discrete and continuous media; and applications and systems pertinent to antennas, propagation, and sensing, such as applied optics, millimeter-and sub-millimeter-wave techniques, antenna signal processing and control, radio astronomy, and propagation and radiation aspects of terrestrial and space-based communication, including wireless, mobile, satellite, and telecommunication.
"Microwave Theory, Techniques and Applications" include RF, microwave, guided wave, and wireless technologies, as they relate to components, devices, circuits, transmission lines, and systems involving the generation, modulation, demodulation, control, transmission, detection, and effects of electromagnetic signals. It shall include scientific, technical, and industrial, activities, subject to timely modifications approved by IEEE TAB.
Microwave Theory and Techniques applies physical and mathematical principles to analyze structures with dimensions representing a significant fraction of a wavelength or when propagation effects need to be considered.
