IEEE Region 8 Membership and Activities Growth

IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, Africa) membership has been growing at an incredible rate in our Region and we expect even more growth in the near future. In January with over 63000 individual members we have set a new record - and we can safely conclude that students, engineers and scientists in this part of the world value their IEEE membership more than ever before.
Region 8 is constantly working to introduce new member benefits. First and foremost, the Region 8 cares about its member's career. There are over 200 technical conferences in the IEEE Region 8 Calendar for 2007.
In September/October we will have our annual elections when, among others, the voting members will be electing the future IEEE President and the Region 8 Director.
