"Understanding the Internet"
koje će održati Jelena Ćosić, Community Development Officer u regionalnom internetskom registru RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre), u petak, 19. travnja 2024. godine, s početkom u 14:15 sati u Sivoj vijećnici Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Unska 3.
Predavanje će se održati na engleskom jeziku, a predviđeno trajanje s raspravom je 60 minuta. Predavanje je otvoreno za sve zainteresirane, a posebno pozivamo studente.

Sažetak predavanja:
The RIPE NCC will host a workshop "Understanding the Internet" that will provide an overview of the Internet operation and governance and the role of the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) system. In this session we will explore how the Internet works, introduce the varied stakeholders in Internet governance, and explain the importance of RIRs, particularly the RIPE NCC, in managing IP address distribution and ensuring the Internet's smooth functioning. This workshop is an opportunity for anyone keen to grasp some fundamental concepts and systems that keep the Internet running.
RIPE NCC is the Regional Internet Registry for Europe, Middle East and part of Central Asia.
Biografija predavača:
Jelena Ćosić works as a Community Builder for the RIPE NCC, with a special focus on South Eastern Europe. As part of her role, Jelena works on supporting local communities and engaging various stakeholders, including RIPE NCC members, governmental agencies, academic institutions and civil society organisations.
Another aspect of her work is the collaboration with the academic community, through the RACI programme and other institutional partnerships.
