Title: "inductance and Partial Inductance - What's it all Mean?"
Abstract: Inductance is one of the misunderstood concepts in electrical engineering. This is even more serious in the EMC world, since inductance will control where the signal currents flow, which will determine the EMC performance of the design. There are many different terms used, such as, loop inductance, self inductance, partial inductance, apparent inductance, equivalent inductance, mutual inductance, etc. These terms are often misused and so the confusion increases. This talk will discuss the true meaning of inductance and how it applies to the EMC world. It will also introduce partial inductance, explain what partial inductance can be used for, and more importantly, when partial inductance is not meaningful. When inductance is better understood, then the concept of "ground' becomes more useful.

Title: "How to Give Effective Presentations"
Abstract: It is extremely important to every engineer that they learn to give effective presentations! As engineers, we often develop excellent technical skills, but have little training in other areas. No matter how good or important an engineer's results might be, if he/she can not effectively communicate them, the ideas/results will not be valued by their management and/or peers. This presentation covers the main areas of presentations, including delivery skills, presentation materials and finally, the content. Techniques to help over come nervousness are discussed as well as a number of common mistakes that people make that can distract the audience from the presentation content.
