Društvo za električne krugove i sustave
bavi se teorijom, analizom, oblikovanjem (računalno potpomognuto oblikovanje), praktičnom primjenom krugova i primjena teoretskih metoda analize krugova na sustave i obradu signala. Ovo područje pokriva čitav niz aktivnosti od osnovne znanstvene teorije do industrijskih primjena.

Towards 5G: Narrow Band Internet of Things

 

koje će održati Ivica Mataušić, dipl. ing. iz kompanije Ericsson Nikola Tesla d. d., u ponedjeljak 28. 11. 2016. u 13:15 sati u dvorani D160.

Sažetak predavanja:

Evolution of radio access standards, from 1G to 4G and brief introduction to 5G requirements. Concepts of Machine to Machine (M2M) and Internet Of Things (IoT). Understanding of various use cases and their requirements. Overview of current technologies supporting IoT communications with focus on cellular IoT solutions proposed by 3GPP: Enhanced Coverage GSM (EC-GSM), LTE-Machine (LTE-M) and Narrow Band IoT (NB-IoT). Description of the NB-IoT radio access interface. Different deployment scenarios to achieve spectrum efficiency and overview of NB-IoT data transmission protocol.

Životopis predavača:

Ivica Mataušić received the engineer diploma degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 2000. Since 2000, he has been working in the Research and Development Centre of Ericsson Nikola Tesla d.d. on the design of various products used in Radio Access Networks. Currently, he holds the position of Radio Development System Manager at Radio Development Unit. During the past decade, he participated in the development of complex embedded systems supporting data transport, such as PDH/SDH, ATM, and IP. He is a coauthor of several patents in the field of IP transport area. His research interests include radio software design, signal processing for communications, embedded system design, and data transport.
