Odjel za obradu signala uključuje znanstvena područja poput teorije signala i sustava, teorije i primjene kodiranja, uporabe filtara, prijenosa signala, estimacije, detekcije, analize, prepoznavanja, sinteze te reprodukcije signala digitalnim ili analognim uređajima i tehnikama. Pojam signala uključuje audio i video signale, govor, slike, komunikacije, signal sonara, radara kao i medicinske, glazbene i druge signale.

Sažetak predavanja
The Brain Computer Interface (BCI) communicator is a completely new way of communication primarily focused on the people with severe disability, where all other means of communication in order to respond to the caregivers questions turn out to be unreliable. Our research is focused on developing a system with which user can respond to auditory stimuli be it tones, some particular voices or questions. Such an approach has a potential of becoming a novel communication platform for the user and the caregiver.
Životopis predavača
Guruprasd Madhale Jadav is a PhD student at Technički fakultet Rijeka since November 2014. He received his engineering degree in the field of Instrumentation technology in the year 2013 from Visvesyaraya Technological University. Since the last one year he is been pursuing research in the field of assistive technology with his primary research dedicated in the field of brain computer interface (BCI) for people with disabilities.
