Naslov predavanja je
Efficient Digital System Design Based on Optimization Methods
Predavanje je otvoreno za sve zainteresirane, a posebno pozivamo studente.
Sažetak predavanja:
Reducing complexity of digital systems is highly welcomed in every signal processing application. One technique for such a reduction is based on utilizing sparse systems. The concept of sparsity arises from the compressed sensing, a technique used in the reconstruction of sparse signals from incomplete sets of measurements. In recent years, many methods from this field are adopted in the design of sparse systems. In this talk, the basic concepts of the compressed sensing are discussed. Then, the design of sparse digital filters and efficient antenna arrays are described. In particular, we focus on the design of FIR filters with linear phase and the filters with no-phase specifications. Two approaches are presented - the first based on the signomial programming and the second based on the branch and bound method. Finally, in antenna array design, we introduce the global optimization based on convex programming and branch and bound algorithm. This method is utilized in the synthesis of pencil beams with constrained dynamic range ratios of antenna coefficients.
