Abstract: Model-based optimization has long been central to solving not only
classical inverse imaging problems but also a variety of image analysis tasks,
including image classification, clustering, and target detection. The integration of
deep learning with these optimization frameworks has unlocked new possibilities,
combining domain knowledge and the interpretability of models with the flexibility
and power of data-driven approaches. This synergy is often referred to as model-
aware deep learning. In this talk, we address model-aware deep learning
approaches tailored to MRI imaging, focusing on their applications in accelerated
reconstruction and the development of trustworthy AI for quantitative neuroimaging.
