Predavanje će se održati u utorak, 2. svibnja 2023. godine u 10.00 sati u Bijeloj vijećnici FER-a. Predavanje se održava na engleskom jeziku i otvoreno je za sve zainteresirane. Abstract:
Aerial photogrammetry is a measurement technique that uses photographs taken from an aircraft or drone to create 3D models of objects. In this talk we discuss several applications of this technology, including detecting waste sites, monitoring changes in forest over time and the automatization of transportation infrastructure inspection. These applications are currently being used in the industry and we will explain how is used an aerial platform developed in order to take high-resolution images in these scenarios.
Biography:
Joaquin Borrego Villa is a R&D Software Engineer at the Andalusian Foundation for Aerospace Development (FADA), Advanced Centre for Aerospace Technologies (CATEC). He holds MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Seville (Spain). He is working on European projects on innovations using UAVs for different applications such as viaduct inspection, photogrammetry, localization in complex environments.
