u sklopu Radionice o 3D skeniranju. Jezik predavanja je engleski, a predviđeno trajanje je do 45 minuta nakon čega slijedi rasprava. Predavanje je otvoreno za sve zainteresirane, a posebno pozivamo studente.
Kratki sažetak predavanja i kratki životopis predavača dostupni su u opširnijoj obavijesti.
Sažetak predavanja
The talk will discuss laser-based underwater 3D scanning using MEMS steering of the laser beam. Specific aspects which will be covered in detail include backscattering and absorption problems where the current state-of-the-art will be presented. Next, the approach using raytracing based multiple refraction distortion minimization will be presented. Finally, real experiments will be presented and discussed with the emphasis on important limitations.
Životopis predavača
Dr. Josep Forest received his BsC degree in Computer Engineering in 1992 by the University of Girona (Girona, Catalonia), MsC in Electronics Engineeringby the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1998, and the PhD degree on 3D Machine Vision in 2004. He is a former co-founder of AQSENSE (now part of COGNEX Corporation) and OPSIS Vision Technologies Spin-Off companies, both devoted to commercializing 3D Machine Vision technologies for different fields of application. His current research interests are focused on 3D Machine Vision, including laser triangulation, calibration and detection, lidar, underwater 3D vision, and point cloud processing. His research also includes the usability of 3D vision for industry applications for dimensional testing, quality control and assisted manufacturing.
