IEEE AFRICON, jedna od triju tradicionalnih velikih konferencija IEEE Regije 8, održat će se od 26. do 28. rujna 2007. u Windhoeku, Namibija.

Nakon uspjesno održanog AFRICON-a u Botswani, Južnoafrička sekcija IEEE povezala se s Namibijskim politehničkim učilištem, kako bi se 8. AFRICON organizirao u glavnom gradu Namibije Windhoeku. Namibija je zemlja različitih kultura s dva milijuna stanovnika u kojoj se govori engleski, oshivambo, herero, damara, njemački i nekoliko drugih jezika.

 IEEE AFRICON presents a forum for mainly Electrical, Electronic & IT research with related Mechanical and Civil activities in Africa. The themes for which papers are solicited include, but are not limited to:

  • Power Electronics and Drives

Call for Participation

 Papers: Participants are invited to electronically submit original papers (in English) addressing the mentioned themes for review, presentation and publication in the conference proceedings. The deadline for submission of a FULL PAPER is 3 March 2007. The peer-reviewed conference is managed online and an Author’s kit containing necessary details is provided on the conference website.

Tutorials and Workshops: Provide overviews of current high interest topics. Proposals for half or full day tutorials are due by 02 February 2007.

Panel Proposals: IEEE AFRICON 2007 organizers encourage engineers, scientists and industry leaders to organize dedicated panels dealing with controversial, and challenging topics. Please contact the conference organizers with proposals by early January 2007.
