Are you a creative IEEE Computer Society Student or Graduate Student Member?
Do you want to:
- showcase your skills,
- win recognition, and
- help spread the word about a valuable program?
The IEEE Computer Society's Distinguished Visitors Program (DVP) is excited to launch its inaugural DV Program Awareness Contest!
The Contest – What It Is:
We challenge you to create a short MP4 video presentation with voiceover that effectively showcases the DVP that we can distribute and show worldwide. The presentation should mirror the Doodly (included below) in a whiteboard animation like style and use the provided scripts as a guide.

- Run Time: Less than 90 seconds.
- Language: May be in English or the official/local language of the country where the member’s Chapter is located. The chosen language must be used for both text and spoken words in the presentation.
- Technology: You may use animation software, a recorded PowerPoint with voiceover, a video of a presentation, or any similar presentation format to amaze us, and the Computer Society membership, with your skill creativity!
- Graphics/Music: All graphics and music used must be in the public domain and not copyrighted.
Who is Eligible?
This contest is open to all IEEE Computer Society Student and Graduate Student Members. Entries are to be submitted by individual student/graduate student members, and each may submit up to two entries which must be either substantially different from each other in format/technology or in different languages. For example, a student/graduate student belonging to a chapter in Italy may submit one entry in English and a second one in Italian.
Prizes and Recognition:
- Recognition for All Participants: All accepted entries will receive recognition.
- Featured Presentations – 24 Hour EXA Symposium: The Top presentations will be played during the upcoming 24-Hour EXA Symposium and other DV events throughout 2025 and 2026.

- IEEE/CS Student Membership: Winners will receive an IEEE CS Student Membership for one year.
- Mentoring Session: Winners will also receive two 1-hour mentoring sessions with a Distinguished Visitor based on The DVs availability
- Best Overall: An additional plaque will be awarded for the best overall entry.
How to Enter (Deliverables):
- The presentation should flow seamlessly.

Tell the DVP story
About the Distinguished Visitors Program (DVP): The DVP brings leading experts to IEEE Computer Society Chapters both in person and online (virtual), offering valuable insights and networking opportunities. Our Distinguished Visitors deliver cutting-edge information to individuals at all stages of their professional career, including students, those in their initial career, early career, mid-career, and beyond. DVs cover a wide array of topics such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models, Quantum Computing, Blockchain, Cryptography, Cybersecurity, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Big Data, and more. Chapters can host both in-person and virtual visits, foster individual interaction and engage with wider membership through activities like our annual 24-Hour EXA Virtual Conference. While Computer Society covers intercity travel costs for DVs, host Chapters are responsible for local expenses like lodging, transportation, food, and incidentals. The DVP can provide up to $1500 USD to cover intercity travel for an in-person visit, and this amount can be increased by coordinating "RoadTrips" (tours) with nearby chapters.
