Abstract - In this presentation model of active filter for programmable analog circuits is developed. It allows us to realize various filter topologies. Chosen implementation is based on OTA-C amplifiers, because for realization of different structures and for element simulation such as resistors and inductors, it uses only OTAs and capacitors and because of that it is very suitable for production on integrated chip. Chosen programmable circuit is based on field programmable analog array (FPAA). Element building block of FPAA is configurable analog block (CAB) which is composed of complex transconductance cell and programmable capacitor array (PCA). Complex transconductance cell is built as parallel connection of four basic transconductance cells and for each of them is possible to switch it on/off and in such way total transconductance can be varied. PCA is composed as parallel connection of capacitors with binary weighted values. Each of these capacitors can be switched on/off from circuit and so total capacitance can also be varied. Beside CAB, important FPAA element is local and global interconnection network which connects different circuit elements and has also the function of signal routing. Some of the filter structures are realized on FPAA. Their characteristics are simulated in SPICE, and also effect of certain FPAA elements on some circuit parameters, like it is noise, is analyzed. It is demonstrated that each of filter structures that are realized on programmable analog array comply with requirements.
