Odjel za antene i širenje elektromagnetskih valova proučava sljedeće: antene, uključujući analizu, oblikovanje, razvoj, mjerenja i testiranja; zračenje, širenje i međudjelovanje elektromagnetskih valova s diskretnim i kontinuiranim medijima te aplikacije i sustave značajne za antene, širenje i raspoznavanje kao što su primijenjena optika, tehnika milimetarskih i submilimetarskih valova, obrada i kontrola signala, radio astronomija, zemaljska komunikacija i komunikacija stacionirana u svemiru promatrane sa stanovišta zračenja, uključujući bežičnu, mobilnu, satelitsku i telekomunikaciju.

Antennas for Millimeter-Wave Wireless Technologies
Despite advances in semiconductor technologies at mm-waves that reduce technology deployment cost, a wide range of technical problems remain to be solved for new consumer electronics within the scope of antennas and propagation.
This talk focuses on the mm-wave antenna design, integration and packaging solutions that enable efficient and low cost wireless technologies such as automotive radar at 76-77 GHz and 60 GHz wireless personal area network (WPAN) applications will be presented and discussed.
Achieved and tested examples, as well as simulation results are used to demonstrate the optimal antenna design and integration strategies at mm-wave frequencies.
Biography of dr.sc. Gordana Klarić Felić
Gordana Klarić Felić received the B. E. degree, from The University of Zagreb, in 1987, the M.E. degree, from The Royal Melbourne University of Technology, Australia, in 1997 and the Ph.D. degree, from The University of Melbourne, Australia, in 2005, all in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. She is a senior researcher at National ICT Australia, The University of Melbourne. Her main contributions are on the development of antennas and integration and packaging solutions for 60 GHz wireless transceiver and 77 GHz automotive radar chip. Her research interests include mm-wave antennas, electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic engineering. She has published papers on the results of her research in the Electromagnetic Compatibility and Antenna and Wireless Propagation and given numerous presentations and lectures. Gordana is a council member and Newsletter Editor of the EMC Society of Australia.
