Towards Better Terahertz Imaging
koje će održati Feng QI, PhD (Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences). Predavanje će se održati u petak 18. srpnja 2025. s početkom u 11:00 sati u Sivoj vijećnici.

Abstract:
Imaging is the most straightforward approach for human beings to sense and understand the world. Terahertz gap has been there for a big while. It is very difficult to generate terahertz waves, not to mention its detection. Consequently, although terahertz waves have a lot of merits in terms of imaging and sensing, including spectroscopy, it is the last spectrum that we can manipulate. In his talk Feng QI will introduce the work on THz imaging that his group has done during the past ten years, including modeling, components and systems.
Biography:
Feng QI graduated from Zhejiang University, China and he got his master and PhD degrees in Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Afterwards, he worked in RIKEN (Japan),Goethe University (Germany), University of Birmingham (UK). In 2015, he joined Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS-SIA) and founded the THz Imaging group, which was promoted to be the Key Laboratory of Terahertz Imaging and Sensing, Liaoning
