Dr. Carlo Rizzo has been Director of Sales and Marketing at Antenna Systems Solutions S.L. (a Celestia Technologies Group company) since 2010. In the past Dr. Rizzo served as Director of European Operations for Microwave Instrumentation Technologies, L.L.C since April 2004. Dr. Rizzo's career in the antenna measurement business begun in 1993 at the University of Sheffield in the Communications and RADAR group as a PhD researcher working on phase less near-field techniques and antenna measurement techniques. In 1997, he joined an Antenna Measurement Supplier in the US as a near-field applications specialist. He subsequently moved to Europe in 1998 as UK Operations manager responsible for technical support, sales and new development. Dr. Rizzo's business experience has covered various areas: R&D, Engineering, Customer Support and Sales & Marketing. He is a Registered Chartered Engineer, Member of the IEE and Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) and is actively involved in sailing as a Coastal Skipper. He attended the University of York studying electronic engineering and subsequently joined the University of Bradford, where he studied for a Masters in Radio Frequency Engineering. In 1993, he joined The University of Sheffield to commence a PhD program in an antenna measurement related project. He has also completed a Certificate in Management at the Open University in the UK.
