Odjel industrijske primjene

Područje djelovnja Odjela industrijske primjene je unaprijeđenje teorije i primjene inženjerstva u razvoju, oblikovanju, proizvodnji i primjeni električkih sustava, uređaja, aparata i upravljanja procesa i opreme u industriji; promocija sigurnih, pouzdanih i ekonomski isplativih instalacija; nužnost industrije kao predvodnice u pitanjima očuvanja energije i okoliša, zdravlja i sigurnosti; stvaranje inženjerskih standarada i postupaka; profesionalni razvoj članova.

Predavanje "An Updated View of...

U suradnji IEEE Zajedničkog odjela za industrijsku elektroniku i energetsku elektroniku i Odjela industrijske primjene u četvrtak, 28.01.2010. u 14:00 održano je predavanje:

"An Updated View of Linear Inverter Current Regulation"

Predavač je bio prof. Thomas A. Lipo s Sveučilišta u Wisconsin Medison.

Predavanje je bilo solidno posjećeno.

Više o temi predavanja i predavaču možete pročitati u nastavku obavijesti, a predavanje je dostupno na poveznici na dnu stranice.

 Kratki opis teme:

Current regulation of AC power electronic converters is today an essential component of a modern field oriented controller for an AC induction or synchronous machine. Perhaps the earliest control algorithm, dating from  used was the so-called sine-triangle PI regulator which is simple to implement and was previously (and presently) used to control current in a dc drive. Being a technique retaining linear features such a control can be readily analyzed with traditional Bode and Root-Locus techniques.  However, this type of control rapidly fell into disfavor because of the undesirable phase error which occurs when the controlled frequency increases. This presentation will revisit the concept of current regulation and demonstrate that, in reality, very acceptable performance can be obtained for most applications.

Kratki CV predavača:

Thomas A. Lipo was born in Milwaukee, WI. He received the B.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Marquette University,Milwaukee, in 1962 and 1964, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1968.

From 1969 to 1979, he was an Electrical Engineer in the Power Electronics Laboratory of Cooperate Research and Development, General Electric Company, Schenectady, NY. He became Professor of electrical engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 1979, and in 1981 he joined the University of Wisconsin in the same capacity, where he is presently the W. W. Grainger Professor for Power Electronics and Electrical Machines.

Dr. Lipo has received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the IEEE Industry Applications Society, theWilliam E. Newell Award of the IEEE Power Electronics, and the 1995 Nicola Tesla IEEE Field Award from the Power Engineering Society for his work. He has served IEEE in various capacities, including as President of Industrial Applications Society. He is a Fellow of IEE (London), a member of IEE (Japan), and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Great Britain.
