Odjel za obradu signala uključuje znanstvena područja poput teorije signala i sustava, teorije i primjene kodiranja, uporabe filtara, prijenosa signala, estimacije, detekcije, analize, prepoznavanja, sinteze te reprodukcije signala digitalnim ili analognim uređajima i tehnikama. Pojam signala uključuje audio i video signale, govor, slike, komunikacije, signal sonara, radara kao i medicinske, glazbene i druge signale.

Title: Ardbeg vector processor
Abstract:
We will begin by outlining current trends for mobile devices, where a number of wireless and multimedia applications are converging in a single battery powered device such as a mobile phone. In the second part, we will talk about the ardbeg research project, which investigated using a 512-bit wide vector processor for signal processing applications and proposed novel tools for programming embedded systems.
Brief Bio:
Mladen Wilder is a Principal Engineer at ARM Ltd in Cambridge. His area of interest include research of microprocessor architectures and microarcitectures and low power design. He earned his BS in electrical engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
