Odjel za tehniku u medicini i biologiji

Područje interesa Odjela obuhvaća sva područja biomedicinskog inženjerstva kao interdisciplinarnog područja primjene inženjerskih znanja u medicini i biologiji. Rad članova Odjela uključuje primjenu matematičkih metoda, eksperimentalne postupke, razvoj novih tehnologija te praktične kliničke aplikacije. Odjel također provodi obrazovne i profesionalne aktivnosti te suradnju s gospodarstvom.

Poziv na predavanje "Molecular...

Fakultet elektrotehnike i računarstva, Odjel za biomedicinsko inženjerstvo  Hrvatske sekcije IEEE i Hrvatsko društvo za biomedicinsko inženjerstvo i medicinsku fiziku zajedno vas pozivaju na predavanje, pod naslovom

"Molecular and cellular effects of radiation" s naglaskom na

"Deterministic and stochastic effects of radiation on the tissue and living organism"

koje će održati Prof. ScD, PhD Tamar Sanikidze, s I. Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine, Gruzija.

Predavanje će se održati 6. listopada 2022. s početkom u 17:30 sati u Sivoj vijećnici Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva. Očekivano trajanje predavanja je sat vremena. Predavanje se održava na engleskom jeziku i otvoreno je za sve zainteresirane. Kratka biografija i sažetak predavanja nalaze se u nastavku obavijesti. Dr .sc. Ivica Prlić ujedno će obavijestiti o novostima u okviru Europskog plana "Cancer beating plan".

  1. Molecular and cellular effects of radiation.

Summary: Basic Radiation Physics and Chemistry, Water Radiolysis. Direct and indirect action - target theory and dose-effect curve, the time scale of effects, DNA damage Chromosomal aberrations, adaptive syndrome, Bystander effect, genome instability, cell cycle kinetics, reparation, interphase and mitotic death, apoptosis. Radiation effect modification, oxygen effect, radioprotectants and sensitizers.

 

  1. Deterministic and stochastic effects of radiation on the tissue and living organism.

Summary: Radiation pathology - hematopoietic, gastrointestinal and cerebrovascular syndromes, LD50/60. Fundamentals of individual and population radio sensitivity. Cellular radio sensitivity - cell cycle phases and radio sensitivity, Bergonie-Tribonde principle laws, different types of cells – radio sensitivity.
