A lecture, which can be followed on the Internet on our Youtube channel as well as the discussion, will seek answers to the questions such as:

• First, why “Education” should be an area of life that students should consider beyond the academic dimension.
• Second, I want to offer a different look on how we think of Ethics.
• Third, I want to share some impressions on why the search for efficiency in education has been a catastrophe, and why it is important for individuals to learn quickly some stuff they should have been taught at school but weren’t.
• Last but not least, I want to talk a bit about STEM/STEAM education, the opportunities it may offer, but also the responsibilities I hope the students will accept.

Sonia Zivkovic is an educator with a 360-degree experience of schools. A teacher and school leader for 18 years, her career morphed to allow her to combine her expertise and passion with a broader mission: enabling human flourishing through a more soulful approach to teaching and parenting. Sonia divides her time between Argentina, Croatia and China, which are all home to her. A producer, entrepreneur, workshop leader and advisor, she can be defined as a pollinizer of ideas.

She is co-founder and director of Pana Wakke Productions, a company that brings storytelling experiences to schools. By integrating storytelling to the school curriculum, Pana Wakke helps students, teachers and parents cultivate the most ancient tool humanity has to nourish the human condition. The firm belief that raising children to become fulfilled adults is the only guarantee of a more peaceful, fair world is at the core of Sonia's mission.
