Odjel za elektroenergetiku

Područje djelovanja Odjela za elektroenergetiku uključuje planiranje, istraživanje, razvoj, oblikovanje, primjenu, gradnju, instalaciju i stavljanje u funkciju aparature, opreme, strukture, materijala i sustava za pouzdanu i ekonomičnu proizvodnju, prijenos i distribuciju, pretvorbu, mjerenje i upravljanje električnom energijom. Uključuje razvoj inženjerskih standarada, pružanje informacija i uputstava javnosti i zakonodavcima, kao i tehničko-znanstvene, edukacijske i druge aktivnosti koje pridonose području električne energije ili koriste tehnike ili proizvode vezane uz dato područje.

The manufacturing of Transformers is integrated to global supply chain. With the improvement of technology, the design and manufacturing of transformer can be more aggressive to reduce clearance and use of pure mineral oil during FAT to ensure the passing of tests. Clean room and environmental condition can be compromised during the manufacturing process which can have impact on the life expectancy of transformer. This presentation will walk through the quality assurance of transformers during the manufacturing process.

Biography:

Ronnie Minhaz received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Manitoba, Canada. Before founding his own company “Transformer Consulting Services Inc. (www.tc-servicesinc.com)”, Ronnie worked as Transformer Designer at Pauwels Canada (Manufacturer), as Equipment Engineer at SNC Lava Lin(EPCM) and Enmax Power(Utility), as Substation Lead Engineer at McGregor Construction(Substation Construction). Ronnie has the experience of performing Quality Assurance inspections in Transformer Manufacturing plants around the world. Besides providing services on Transformer as consultant, Ronnie has been instructor in training, workshop, conferences and seminars related to transformer around the world.

Ronnie is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta, Canada and an IEEE Senior member. He held various leadership positions at IEEE Section level and a regular member of IEEE PES society. He is a member of several working groups and task forces in the IEEE Transformers Committee.
