Područje djelovanja Odjela za elektroenergetiku uključuje planiranje, istraživanje, razvoj, oblikovanje, primjenu, gradnju, instalaciju i stavljanje u funkciju aparature, opreme, strukture, materijala i sustava za pouzdanu i ekonomičnu proizvodnju, prijenos i distribuciju, pretvorbu, mjerenje i upravljanje električnom energijom. Uključuje razvoj inženjerskih standarada, pružanje informacija i uputstava javnosti i zakonodavcima, kao i tehničko-znanstvene, edukacijske i druge aktivnosti koje pridonose području električne energije ili koriste tehnike ili proizvode vezane uz dato područje.

koje će održati prof. Luis Nando Ochoa, Sveučilište Melbourne, Australia.

u četvrtak, 08.06.2017., u 12:00 sati, u Sivoj vijećnici Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, Unska 3, Zagreb.

Predavanje je na engleskom jeziku, a predviđeno trajanje s raspravom je 60 minuta. Predavanje je otvoreno za sve zainteresirane.

"Quantifying the Benefits from Large-Scale Voltage-Led Demand Response"

Abstract: This talk will present the large-scale UK trial “Customer Load Active System Services” in which voltage control at primary substations is used to achieve a given demand response (due to the natural voltage-demand relationship) that can be used to provide balancing services to the System Operator whilst not affecting low voltage customers. The talk will provide an overview of the implementation, modelling aspects and challenges, as well as the corresponding potential benefits at regional and national scales.

Short Bio:

Luis (Nando) Ochoa is Professor of Smart Grids and Power Systems at The University of Melbourne, Australia and part-time Professor of Smart Grids at The University of Manchester, UK. His expertise in network integration of low carbon technologies and his extensive portfolio of industrial and academic projects has led to 130+ publications, 50+ technical reports, and one patent filed by Psymetrix Ltd. Prof Ochoa is an IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer and has also several leadership roles within IEEE PES, including Member-At-Large of the Governing Board and Editorial Board Member of the IEEE Power and Energy Magazine. Prof Ochoa is an IEEE Senior Member since 2012. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from UNI (Peru), and a Research MSc and a PhD in Electrical Power Engineering, both from UNESP Ilha Solteira (Brazil). He is also a Visiting Professor at UNICAMP (Brazil) since 2014.
